Rangita is daddy's daughter

Rangita Nandy is young, dynamic and very demanding - traits that people say she inherits from her father, Pritish Nandy.
Rangita is daddy's daughter
Rangita Pritish Nandy is the fun girl of her family, and the heart and soul of her company.
Theyve just showcased their films at the most known global art platforms like Berlin, Rome, New York and London amongst others. In spite of all that is in her kitty, Rangita refuses to discuss work.
This is about Ba and me, she says on an emotional note.
1x1 polls
We decide to dedicate this tte--tte to daddys little girl and Pritish agrees, Daughters are always special because its a male dominated society and everybody is flaunting their machismo. A father is always more protective about his daughter and that creates a special bond. On the work front Rangita and I are like colleagues. There are confrontations in terms of clashes in creative vision. But from that, are born better ideas.
What have you learnt from your father?
This could actually fill an entire book! Everything I know, Ive learnt from my parents and thats because both my parents have actually taken the time out from their own lives to be a critical part of my sisters life and mine. Growing up I saw other kids do a variety of things to get their parents attention ... Ishita and I never had to do that, my parents were always there.
My father was out there fighting the world every day just to be able to give us everything that we needed even before we knew that we needed them and this isnt about toys or clothes or other material things. Weve had their ear every second of the day. Things that are just taken for grantedhonesty, love, patience, ambitionthese were virtues that Ma and Ba engraved into our personality, long before wed even formed our own personalities. We are the people we are because they ensured it.

Does mixing family and business create problems?
Never. Not if everybody involved is doing it for the right reasons. Im at PNC because I wanted to be a part of the legacy that my father has dreamt of. Theres no second reason. And therefore, there can never be a problem.
Is your dad also your ideal man?
Not true! Because theres only one Pritish Nandy that any girl can handle at a time!! My ideal man is any man my father can respect and have a conversation with beyond the first five minutes of small talk and enjoy it! Quite a tough task, if you ask me.
Whats your most precious father-daughter moment?
I think we share one everyday. But if you ask him, hell say it was the moment that he held me for the first time in his arms, when I was born.
The best gift your father has given you...
Ive never had to ask him for anything. Ever. Thats the best gift any parent can give a child.
What do you love best about your father?
His enthusiasm for everything! Sometimes Im amazed at how the same man can be so excited about signing an international deal and eating a roadside vada pav, all in the same breath!
